Detailed description of project:

Global Objective The overall purpose of the project is to assist the Government of Maldives (GoM) and National Authorities in the preparation of general democratic elections in accordance with the goals set in the Maldivian Reform Roadmap and in accordance withy the international standards as stated in the Universal Declaration of Human rights (1948) and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (1966) and the Declaration of Principles for International Election Observation (2005). Specific objectives The project will provide the GoM, the EC Delegation and other stakeholders with technical advice and related support for election preparation that are under consideration by the GoM to achieve its Global Objective
